• To further develop your observational drawing skills through the use of geometric shapes
• To be able to create the shape of an object using a range of two- dimensional (2D) shapes

Lesson 3 - Line of Symmetry

• To learn how to use the Line of Symmetry within a still-life drawing.
• To develop an understanding of how to form three- dimensional shapes.
• To produce a still-life drawing demonstrating your understanding of techniques taught.

Lesson 4 - Shading Techniques

• To further develop your drawing skills.
• To be introduced and to learn basic shading techniques.
• To demonstrate your understanding of shading and the use of tone when drawing.

• To produce a still-life composition, using collage techniques.
• To practise and develop your shading skills.

• To demonstrate an understanding of the drawing and shading techniques taught so far.

Part 2 - Colour Theory

Lesson 1 - Introduction to Primary Colours

• To be introduced to Colour Theory and Primary Colours.
• To be introduced to the artist Piet Mondrian and to learn about his painting techniques.
• To be able to demonstrate an understanding of primary colours and artists’ style within your personal work.
• To self assess your work against feedback grades.

Lesson 2 - Secondary Colours

• To continue to learn about Colour Theory through the use of Secondary colours.
• To learn how to mix Primary colours together to create Secondary colours.
• To demonstrate your understanding of Secondary colours and Colour Theory within the worksheet task.

Lesson 3 - Tonal Painting

• To further develop painting skills through monochrome painting.

Lesson 4 - Still Life; planning a final piece.
